Recorded in June 1980 at the Brass Monkey Lounge in the Florida Keys. We had two SM-57 mics hanging from the ceiling about 30' in front of the stage and used a cassette recorder and a Radio Shack Supertape cassette. The aging cassette was finally transferred to digital in the mid-1990s. There's a song on this album that we did not re-record in 2008..."Rock And Roll Taught Me A Thing Or Two".
Recorded in April 2008 at John Lubotsky's house in Dunellon, FL on my VS-2480 multitrack recorder. This reunion was a celebration of Michael's 50th birthday, and a wonderful gathering of good friends who hadn't been in the same room at the same time for over 25 years. There's still vocal work I need to do on a couple tracks, but most only need final mastering to be complete.
This album contains both the 1980 and 2008 versions of the songs. The tracks are placed in back-to-back order, making it easy to compare the older and the newer versions of each song.
