My daughter Dawn was the inspiration for this bit of musical satire. When we first moved to Tampa, I sat down at my recorder one afternoon to work on some music. A 4-year old Dawn walked in and wanted to get involved...she wanted the microphone and wouldn't take no for an answer. So to distract her, I just started playing a Blues riff. For some reason, the fact that Dawn didn't like any sauce on her spaghetti came to mind and Busghetti Blues was born. By the end of the recording, we kicked on the Echo pedal and the jam ended with a bit of cool craziness. This tune was recorded in 1984, and the only time I ever played it live onstage was 25 years later in 2009 at Lulu's in Gulf Shores, Alabama. Busghetti Blues © 2024 - Joey Arata
